Places a Change Task within a Change Order’s implementation structure.
When to use it
The Change Cockpit is the main UI for managing change types and their relationships. Use Change Order – Change Task to organize the individual activities needed for change implementation.
Records and direction
- Relationship type: Structure. Places the target record within the source record’s hierarchy.
- From: Change Order.
- To: Change Task.
How to use it
- Create the relation with drag and drop in a Structure widget: drag the intended Change Task onto the Change Order it relates to. Select Change Order – Change Task, review the source, target, and any offered values, then confirm.
- Alternatively, use Connect from the source record and choose the target and Change Order – Change Task relationship from the available options.
- Review the resulting connection in the structure or related information. Check the selected records, their versions where applicable, and the relationship filters if the link is not visible.
Example
Implement Seal Redesign contains Update Seal Drawing as a Change Task. The task identifies the specific activity and records involved in that work.
What to check
The Change Task belongs to the Change Order’s implementation structure. Review its responsibility, scope, and progress.
Choosing the relationship
Choose this relationship for implementation activity membership. Change Request – Change Order connects proposal to coordination. Linking a Change Task does not perform the engineering update or complete the order.
