Places a Product within a Model’s structure as configured.
When to use it
Use Product when you need to record this connection between the source and target records. Product reads from Model to Product.
Records and direction
- Relationship type: Structure. Places the target within the source record’s hierarchy.
- From: Model.
- To: Product.
How to use it
- Create the relation with drag and drop in a Structure widget: drag the intended Product onto the Model it relates to. Choose Product, review the direction and any offered values, then confirm.
- Alternatively, use Connect from the source record and select the target with the Product relationship.
- Review the resulting connection and the selected record versions where applicable. Check the displayed relationship filters if the connection is not visible.
Example
P-100 (Model) is connected to Industrial Pump P-Series (Product) through Product. The target appears within the source’s structure. Read this configured direction as Model to Product; Product – Item connects a product to engineering items.
