Connects an eligible project, problem, or change record to an Enterprise Change Assessment relevant to it.
When to use it
For change records, use the Change Cockpit as the main UI to manage the record and its relationships. Use Impact when you need to record this connection between the source and target records. Impact associates work with an Enterprise Change Assessment.
Records and direction
- Relationship type: Non-structure. Associates records without creating a parent-child hierarchy.
- From: Project, Idea, Program, Issue, Change Request, Change Order, Change Task, Problem Report.
- To: Enterprise Change Assessment.
How to use it
- Create the relation with drag and drop in a Structure widget: drag the intended Enterprise Change Assessment onto the Project it relates to. Choose Impact, review the direction and any offered values, then confirm.
- Alternatively, use Connect from the source record and select the target with the Impact relationship.
- Review the resulting connection and the selected record versions where applicable. Check the displayed relationship filters if the connection is not visible.
Example
Pump Redesign (Project) is connected to Seal Change Assessment (Enterprise Change Assessment) through Impact. The association lets readers follow the related information without creating a hierarchy. Change – Impact is the more specific relationship for change records.
