Connects change work to a Workflow or Workflow Template associated with its process.
When to use it
The Change Cockpit is the main UI for managing change types and their relationships. Use Change – Workflow when you need to record this connection between the source and target records. Change – Workflow identifies a process associated with change work.
Records and direction
- Relationship type: Non-structure. Associates records without creating a parent-child hierarchy.
- From: Change Request, Change Order, Change Task, Change Context.
- To: Workflow, Workflow Template.
How to use it
- Use the workflow tools to manage the Change – Workflow connection for the intended process. Select the relevant workflow, template, or step and use its available controls to associate the records.
- Review the source and target records in the workflow context and confirm the intended connection.
- Check the result using the workflow’s process controls. Workflow-related connections are the exception to creating relationships by dropping records into a Structure widget.
Example
Improve Seal Design (Change Request) is connected to Seal Change Review (Workflow) through Change – Workflow. The association lets readers follow the related information without creating a hierarchy.
