Connects a Project, Program, Issue, Product, Requirement, or Problem Report to a relevant Risk.
When to use it
Use Risk to associate relevant uncertainty with a product, project, requirement, or other eligible work record.
Records and direction
- Relationship type: Non-structure. Associates the records without creating a parent-child hierarchy.
- From: Project, Program, Issue, Product, Requirement, Problem Report.
- To: Risk.
How to use it
- Create the relation with drag and drop in a Structure widget: drag the intended Risk onto the Project it relates to. Select Risk, review the source, target, and any offered values, then confirm.
- Alternatively, use Connect from the source record and choose the target and Risk relationship from the available options.
- Review the resulting connection in the structure or related information. Check the selected records, their versions where applicable, and the relationship filters if the link is not visible.
Example
Pump Redesign is connected to Supplier Delay. The Project team can locate the assessment and mitigation information from its work context.
What to check
The source record identifies a relevant Risk. Check the risk’s description and response rather than assuming the association removes the uncertainty.
Choosing the relationship
The Risk relationship is non-structure. Choose Change – Risk for risk information associated with a change record. Use Issue or Problem Report records when a problem has been observed.
