Connects a Node or Task to a Change Task associated with its work.
When to use it
The Change Cockpit is the main UI for managing change types and their relationships. Use Node – Change Task when you need to record this connection between the source and target records. Node – Change Task identifies change work associated with a workflow step or Task.
Records and direction
- Relationship type: Non-structure. Associates records without creating a parent-child hierarchy.
- From: Node, Task.
- To: Change Task.
How to use it
- Use the workflow tools to manage the Node – Change Task connection for the intended process. Select the relevant workflow, template, or step and use its available controls to associate the records.
- Review the source and target records in the workflow context and confirm the intended connection.
- Check the result using the workflow’s process controls. Workflow-related connections are the exception to creating relationships by dropping records into a Structure widget.
Example
Change Implementation (Node) is connected to Update Seal Drawing (Change Task) through Node – Change Task. The association lets readers follow the related information without creating a hierarchy.
Choosing the relationship
