Connects change work to an Enterprise Change Assessment describing its effects.
When to use it
The Change Cockpit is the main UI for managing change types and their relationships. Use Change – Impact to make the assessment of a change’s consequences identifiable from the change record.
Records and direction
- Relationship type: Non-structure. Associates the records without creating a parent-child hierarchy.
- From: Change Request, Change Order, Change Task.
- To: Enterprise Change Assessment.
How to use it
- Create the relation with drag and drop in a Structure widget: drag the intended Enterprise Change Assessment onto the Change Request it relates to. Select Change – Impact, review the source, target, and any offered values, then confirm.
- Alternatively, use Connect from the source record and choose the target and Change – Impact relationship from the available options.
- Review the resulting connection in the structure or related information. Check the selected records, their versions where applicable, and the relationship filters if the link is not visible.
Example
Improve Seal Design is connected to Seal Change Assessment. The assessment describes consequences for the engineering information and related work.
What to check
The change has an associated Enterprise Change Assessment. Review the assessment’s scope and current information together with the proposal.
Choosing the relationship
Choose Change – Impact for assessed consequences and Change – Risk for uncertainty. The relationship supplies assessment context; it does not implement the change or constitute an approval.
