How to Manage CAD Revisions in Nora IPLM
Follow these steps in the same order as the Word document.
Launch Solid Edge or any other CAD application from Desktop and navigate to Settings → Add-Ins and Enable the Nora IPLM Add-In.
Log in to the Nora IPLM Add-In.
Navigate to the View tab, enable the Nora IPLM pane.
Search for and open drawings, parts and assemblies. Preview the models directly within Nora IPLM.
Open the assembly directly in Solid Edge from Nora IPLM.
Select the required parts and assemblies and click on Finalize to release them to the Released lifecycle state.
Open the released assembly in Solid Edge, make some changes to the assembly, and synchronize the updated design as a new revision.
Alternatively, We can perform the same set of operations from the Nora IPLM standalone platform too.
Open the Relations pane, access the new revision, and click the Thumbnail/Preview area to visualize the models and analyse design differences.
From the Standalone Nora IPLM platform, Open both the revisions in a comparison widget and switch on the Preview mode for a side-by-side comparison.
