How to Configure the Nora IPLM CAD Connector
Configure the Nora IPLM CAD Connector to connect CAD tools with Nora IPLM and synchronize files, metadata, and BOM structures.
01Launch Desktop Services+
Open Nora IPLM Desktop Services from your desktop.

Replace the default URL with your organization's Nora IPLM tenant URL.
03Authenticate+
Log in using valid Nora IPLM credentials.
04Select CAD Apps+
Select active CAD or Microsoft Office applications from the Desktop Widget.

Open a CAD file and confirm the connector is ready inside the CAD application.

How to Configure the Nora IPLM CAD Connector?
Follow these steps in the same order as the Word document.
Step 01: Launch Nora IPLM Desktop Services:
Open the Nora IPLM Desktop Services application from your desktop.
The Desktop Services application acts as a communication bridge between your CAD software and the Nora IPLM platform, enabling secure synchronization of files, structures, and metadata.

Step 02: Configure the Tenant URL: In the Desktop Services application:
Navigate to the Settings section.
Locate the Tenant URL field.
Replace the default URL with your organization's Nora IPLM tenant URL.
Click ok.

Step 03: Authenticate Your Account:
Enter your Nora IPLM username and password & complete the authentication process by clicking Login.
After successful login, the Desktop Services application will establish a secure connection with your Nora IPLM environment.

Step 04: Start Your CAD Application
Launch your CAD software on your desktop as required.
Step 05: Select CAD Applications & Microsoft Office applications from Drop Down:
Our desktop services app can recognize your active CAD apps & Microsoft Office apps and allows you to directly select and work with them. Navigate to the Desktop widget and select the CAD applications or MS office applications you wish to integrate instantly.

Step 06: Verify the Connection & access CAD files from Desktop Widget:
Open a CAD model, assembly, or drawing.
