How to Install the Nora IPLM CAD Connector
Install Nora IPLM Desktop Services to connect supported desktop tools with Nora IPLM and manage PLM data from your workspace.
01Open Desktop Widget+
Open the Desktop Widget.
02Download Desktop Services+
Use the three-dot menu to download Desktop Services.
03Run Installation+
Install Nora IPLM Desktop Services and select the CAD applications to integrate.
04Launch Services+
Launch Desktop Services and confirm it is running from the system tray.

How to install and use Desktop services application?
Nora IPLM Desktop Services connects supported desktop applications with the Nora IPLM platform so teams can work with CAD files, documents, BOMs, and product information from their normal workspace.
Install the application, configure the connection settings with your tenant URL, and launch Desktop Services to keep files, metadata, and product structures synchronized with Nora IPLM.

How to install and use Desktop services application?
Follow these steps in the same order as the Word document.
Open the Desktop Widget.

Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) and select “Download Desktop Services”.


Double-click on the “Nora IPLM Desktop Services v1.6.1” package to begin the installation, then click “Next” to proceed.

Choose the desired installation directory. Update the CAD Add-Ins URL as required, then select the CAD applications you want to integrate with, such as SolidWorks and Solid Edge.
Note: In place of the Nora IPLM’s "URL", enter your tenant’s URL.

When prompted, accept the UAC (User Account Control) request to continue.
Note: The prompt may appear minimized—activate it from the taskbar if needed.

Select a folder in the C drive and click “OK” to proceed with the installation.

Click “Finish” to complete the installation process.

Double-click on the “Nora IPLM Desktop Services” icon on your desktop to launch the application.

Confirm the application is running by checking for its icon in the system tray.
