How to Install the Nora IPLM Solid Edge Add-In
Install the Nora IPLM Solid Edge Add-In to bring PLM access, CAD upload, and lifecycle actions into your Solid Edge workspace.
01Open the Desktop Widget+
Open the Desktop Widget.
02Download Desktop Services+
Click on the three-dot menu and select Download Desktop Services.
03Run the installer+
Double-click on the Nora IPLM Desktop Services package to begin the installation.
04Configure Solid Edge+
Choose the installation directory, update the CAD Add-Ins URL, and select Solid Edge.
05Launch the service+
Launch Nora IPLM Desktop Services and confirm it is running from the system tray.

Traditionally, engineers switch between CAD tools and PLM applications to upload files, manage revisions, update lifecycle states, reserve objects, and access product information. With the Nora IPLM Add-In, these critical PLM operations can be performed directly within Solid Edge, eliminating the need to constantly navigate to a web browser or separate desktop application.

How to Install the Nora IPLM Solid Edge Add-In
Follow the steps below in the same order as the installation guide.
Open the Desktop Widget.
Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) and select “Download Desktop Services”.
Double-click on the “Nora IPLM Desktop Services v1.6.1” package to begin the installation, then click “Next” to proceed.
Choose the desired installation directory. Update the CAD Add-Ins URL as required, then select Solid Edge to install and integrate the add-in.
Note: In place of the Nora IPLM’s "URL", enter your tenant’s URL.
When prompted, accept the UAC (User Account Control) request to continue.
Note: The prompt may appear minimized—activate it from the taskbar if needed.
Select a folder in the C drive and click “OK” to proceed with the installation.
Click “Finish” to complete the installation process.
Double-click on the “Nora IPLM Desktop Services” icon on your desktop to launch the application.
Confirm the application is running by checking for its icon in the system tray.
Right click, configure the settings and then launch Nora IPLM Desktop Services.
Note: In place of the Nora IPLM’s "URL", enter your tenant’s URL.
