How to Use the Nora IPLM SolidWorks Add-In
Follow these steps in the same order as the Word document.
Launch Solidworks from Desktop and navigate to Settings → Add-Ins and Enable the Nora IPLM Add-In.
Log in to the Nora IPLM Add-In.
Open the Solidworks models and drawings that need to be uploaded.
Navigate to the Nora IPLM pane.
Click Get Data to retrieve the model information.
Configure additional formats for each file to generate derivative files during upload.
Click Sync Data to upload the files, metadata, and structure information to Nora IPLM.
Nora IPLM processes the uploaded files and creates the product structure. A success message confirms successful structure creation.
Search for and open the uploaded drawings and assemblies. Preview the models directly within Nora IPLM.

Select assemblies or parts, promote them to the desired lifecycle state, and perform reserve/unreserve operations directly from the Add-In.
Make changes to the models and select “Iterate” and then synchronize the updated files to create new iterations in Nora IPLM.
Open the Relations pane to access and review the newly created iterations.
Select the required parts and assemblies and click on Finalize to release them to the Released lifecycle state.
Open the released assembly in Solidworks, make some changes to the assembly, and synchronize the updated design as a new revision.
Open the Relations pane, access the new revision, and click the Thumbnail/Preview area to visualize the models and analyse design differences.
Select any object within the BOM and use the Information Pane to view, edit, and update part and assembly attributes.
