Purpose
Nora IPLM allows users to upload video files (up to 10 MB) as documents and view them directly within the platform. This enables quick access, review, and sharing of videos without leaving the PLM environment.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open Quick Create
You have two ways to start creating a video document:
- From the Platform Toolbar: Click Quick Create in the top-right corner of the platform.
- From a Widget: Open a Table or Details Widget and click Quick Create in the top-right corner of the widget command bar.
2. Select Object Type
- Choose Document as the object type.
3. Fill in Object Attributes
- Enter the relevant attributes for the video, such as Name, Description, Item Type, or any other required fields.
4. Upload the Video File
- In the File field, upload your video file from your computer.
- Note: The file size must not exceed 10 MB.
5. Create the Object
- Click Create to finalize the object creation.
Once created, the object will automatically open in the Details Widget, or in the current widget if the command was executed within a widget.
6. View the Video
You can open the video in the Viewer Widget in several ways:
- From the Details Widget Command Bar: Click Open in Viewer.
- From the Right-Click Menu: Right-click the object and select Open in Viewer.
- Drag and Drop: Drag the object directly into the Viewer Widget.
The video will be displayed immediately in the Viewer Widget, ready for playback.
Tips & Notes
- Video files must be 10 MB or smaller to be uploaded successfully.
- The Viewer Widget supports playback controls such as play, pause, and seek for quick review.
- Use descriptive names and attributes to make it easier to search and filter video documents in the platform.
