The Copy Name command allows you to copy the exact name of an object in Nora IPLM. When you use this command, the object name is stored in your computer’s clipboard.
As a result, you can paste the copied name anywhere you need. This includes other areas of the platform as well as any external application on your device.
In addition, the command preserves the object name exactly as it appears in the system. Therefore, you can reuse even long or complex names without errors.
Where to Find the “Copy Name” Command
You can access the Copy Name command from several locations across the platform. This makes it easy to use in any context.
- From the right-click menu of any object
- From the command bars in all widgets
- From object lists
- From the search pane
This feature is available in all views and contexts within Nora IPLM.
How to Use the “Copy Name” Command
1. Access the “Copy Name” Command
First, select one or more objects from any widget, list, or the search pane.
Next, right-click on the object and choose Copy Name, or use the command bar if it is available.
2. Confirm the Copy Action
After you click the button, a notification appears in the lower-left corner of the platform.
This notification confirms that the object name has been successfully copied to the clipboard.
You can now paste the name wherever you need it.
