Purpose
The History Tab in the Info Pane allows users to view all actions and events performed on individual objects or entire structures in Nora IPLM. It provides a chronological, event-based record of activities, including object creation, updates, connections, and disconnections.
When to Use
- Track all actions taken on objects or structures over time.
- Monitor changes in connected or disconnected objects.
- Filter actions to quickly find specific events.
- Gain visibility across parent and child objects using multi-level mode.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Access the History Tab
- Open an object in Nora IPLM.
- Click the Info Pane on the right side of the screen.
- Select the History Tab from the available tabs.
Viewing Events
- The tab displays a chronological list of events for the selected object.
- Events include actions such as creation, updates, connections, and disconnections.
- Connected or disconnected objects can be clicked to view or interact with them directly.
Switching Modes
- Object-Level Mode: Shows history only for the current object.
- Multi-Level Mode: Displays history for the current object and its children in the structure.
- Switch modes by using the mode toggle in the History Tab header.
Searching and Filtering Events
- Use the Search Bar to find events by keywords.
- Apply filters to narrow results by:
- People (users who performed the actions)
- Dates
- Event type
- Filtered results update dynamically to show only relevant events.
Tips & Notes
- Multi-level mode is useful for tracking all activity across a product structure or project/program.
- Connected and disconnected objects in the history can be clicked to view or modify relationships.
- Unlike the Collaboration Tab, users cannot be tagged in the History Tab.
Troubleshooting
Cannot interact with an object in a connection/disconnection event: Verify that you have permission to access that object.
Events not showing: Make sure the object has recorded history and that you are in the correct mode (object-level or multi-level).
Filters not working: Check that filters are applied correctly and reset them if needed.
