Purpose
The Relations Tab in the Info Pane provides a unified view of all relations that an object has in Nora IPLM. Unlike the Relations Pane, where each relationship is viewed in detail within separate tabs, the Relations Tab gives you a consolidated overview of every connection, helping you quickly understand how the object fits into larger structures.
When to Use
- You want a quick, consolidated overview of all object relations.
- You need to expand or collapse relationships for deeper exploration.
- You want to filter by relation direction (from, to, or both).
- You need a fast way to identify relation directions without switching between multiple tabs.
Step-by-Step Instructions

- Click on the Info Pane on the right side of the screen.
- Select the Relations Tab from the available tabs.

- Each relation is represented by a relation card.
- An arrow icon in the top-right corner of each card shows the relation direction.
Expanding Relations

- Use the Expand All button to open all relations at once.
- Collapse expanded relations when you want a cleaner overview.
Filtering Relation Directions
- Use the filter option to set the relation view to:
- From – Shows only outgoing relations.
- To – Shows only incoming relations.
- Both – Displays all relations for the object.
Tips & Notes
- The Relations Tab is best for a consolidated, high-level view, while the Relations Pane is designed for detailed inspection.
- Expanding all relations is useful for analyzing large, complex networks of connected objects.
- The arrow icons provide an at-a-glance understanding of relation flow.
- Filtering makes it easier to focus on specific paths in a structure.
Troubleshooting
- Relations not showing: Verify that the object has defined connections.
- Expand All not working: Refresh the page and try again; check permissions if needed.
- Filter not applying: Make sure the correct option (from, to, or both) is selected.
