The Paste command in Nora IPLM is used for two main purposes:
- Displaying an object in a widget
- Creating a new relationship between objects (in the Structure Widget only)
Where to Find the “Paste” Command
You can access the Paste command from the following locations:
- Right-click menu of all objects placed in a widget.
- Command bar in all widgets
This command is available across all widgets and views.
1. Paste for Display
To display a copied object in a widget:
- Right-click anywhere inside the widget (if it already contains objects), or
- Use the Paste command from the widget’s command bar
The object will appear in the widget where it was pasted.
2. Paste to Create a Relation
To establish a relationship using Paste:
Open the root object in a Structure Widget. Either:
- Select the root object and click Paste from the command bar, or
- Right-click the root object and choose Paste
In the popup window:
- Choose the desired relationship type
- Click Create
A success notification will confirm that the relation has been created.
