The Clone command in Nora iPLM allows you to duplicate any object, making it easy to reuse data without starting from scratch. You can also choose whether to include the object’s structure during the cloning process.
Where to Find the “Clone” Command
You can access the Clone command from the following locations:
- Right-click menu of all objects
- Command bar in all widgets
- All Lists
- Search Pane
This feature works across all widgets, lists, and search contexts.
How to Clone an Object
1. Access the Clone Command:
- Right-click on the object you want to clone and choose Clone or
- Select the object and click the Clone command from the command bar.
2. Configure Clone Settings:
- In the popup window, select whether to use a Prefix or Suffix, and enter the desired text to customize the new object’s name.
- Choose whether to include the structure of the original object.
- Click the Clone button to proceed.
3. Confirmation and Access:
- A success notification in the bottom-left corner will confirm that the object has been cloned.
- The newly created clone will automatically open in a Details widget.
