In Nora IPLM, the Create Baseline command is used to generate a new baseline object from any existing object. This allows you to manage version references and maintain traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Where to Find the “Create Baseline” Command
You can access the Create Baseline command from the following locations:
- Right-click menu of all objects
- Command bar in all widgets
- All Lists
- Search Pane
This feature works across all widgets, lists, and search contexts.
How to Create a Baseline
1. Access the Command:
- Right-click on the object, or
- Select the object and click Create Baseline from the command bar.
2. Fill in Baseline Details:
- In the popup window, enter a name in the Baseline Revision Name field.
- If needed, check the box to Include Structure in the baseline.
3. Save and Confirm:
- Click the Save button.
- A success notification will appear in the bottom-left corner, confirming that the baseline object has been created.
